Light is the primal source of life for every living organism. Its presence though can only be seen on the surfaces and objects it reflects or scatters. Light can also be felt, but it cannot be tangible, graspable. For a photographer, light is the primary source and material with which he works. A photographic film becomes a medium that allows light to be seen and take form. In this ongoing project, instead of a film I use a photosensitive paper that becomes the canvas, the medium to make light visible. Using light as the object and the subject of the project, I'm interested in the relationship between materiality and immateriality and the transcendence from one state to the other. Light has a double nature, being energy and matter simultaneously, two different but complimentary states, which create a unity. A monad.
